Foam compressors can be divided into two categories: EPS foam compressors and polyurethane foam compressors according to the material handling classification.

EPS foam compressor is suitable for compressing EPS/EPP foam, etc., the compression ratio can reach 30-40 times, in order to achieve the purpose of reducing the volume of EPS, so as to facilitate long-distance transportation and reduce storage and transportation costs.
Polyurethane foam compressor is suitable for compressing polyurethane foam such as volume-reducing refrigerator foam and board room sandwich insulation board foam. The effect density compression ratio reaches 10-16:1, which is convenient for polyurethane foam landfill treatment.

Processing method classification

There are many types of foam compressors, which can be classified into the following common types of foam compressors according to the treatment method.

1. Cold pressed type

The cold-pressed EPS compressor uses a screw to directly push and squeeze the EPS foam without heating. Reduce the volume of EPS foam by multiples, increase the density, and use rough grains for transportation and storage.

2. Hot-pressed type

The hot-pressed foam compressor is mainly used to press PU materials. The difference between the hot-pressed compressor and the cold-pressed compressor is that a heater is added to the pressing section of the cold-pressed compressor to make the material passing through the heating section It is extruded from the discharge port in a semi-molten state.

3. Hot melt type

The hot-melt compressor is similar to the extruder. After the material is completely melted, it is pushed out from the discharge port. The hot-melt foam compressor is the same as the hot-pressed foam compressor. It needs to add one or more heating modules.

4. Hydraulic push type

The hydraulic squeeze foam compressor adopts a screwless design, uses hydraulic pressure to do work, exerts enough pressure on the object in a certain space, so that the object is densified, so as to achieve the desired purpose. The more complex types of foam compressors above hydraulic squeeze foam compressors, the highest compression effect can reach more than 700KG per cubic meter.
